Marriage in Paraguay – why are so many Israelis interested? Civil marriage in Paraguay (or alternatively, civil marriage in El Salvador<\/a>) is recognized as valid by the Ministry of the Interior of Israel. <\/span>Paraguay is one of the only countries in the world where a legal marriage ceremony can be held in the presence of only one of the spouses, a “single proxy” marriage. <\/span>An Israeli who returns to Israel with a valid Paraguay marriage certificate is entitled to be listed as married by the Ministry of the Interior and in the Population Registry, if the marriage was conducted lawfully and the documents were validated and duly translated. <\/span>Our law firm is collaborating with a law firm in Paraguay in order to arrange a Paraguay marriage for Israeli citizens, which will be recognized by the Ministry of the Interior in Israel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
